MaevessaMarket grew out of frustration with online shopping that felt anonymous and uncertain: vague product descriptions, hidden charges at checkout, slow replies and returns that were harder than they needed to be. We wanted to build something different, a shop that treats customers the way we would want to be treated ourselves.
From our base on The Avenue in Sheffield, we set out to create a carefully curated store where every item earns its place. Your Statutory Right to Cancel (14 Days)
Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, you have the legal right to cancel your order within 14 days without giving any reason. The cancellation period ends 14 days after the day on which you, or a person you nominate other than the carrier, receive the goods.
To exercise this right, simply tell us of your decision to cancel with a clear statement, for example by email to stephencolbert221@gmail.com or by phone on +44 7700 900058. You must then return the goods within 14 days of telling us you wish to cancel. We will refund all payments received from you, including the original standard delivery cost where applicable, within 14 days of receiving the goods back or proof that you have returned them, whichever is earlier. Refunds are made using the same payment method you used for the original purchase.
Certain items may be exempt from the right to cancel where permitted by law, such as sealed goods unsealed after delivery that are unsuitable for return for health protection or hygiene reasons, or goods made to your specifications or clearly personalised. Any such exceptions will be clearly indicated on the relevant product page and in our Returns & Refunds Policy.
Your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 for faulty, damaged or misdescribed goods are separate and remain unaffected.
Our Voluntary 30-Day Return Promise
In addition to your statutory rights, MaevessaMarket offers a voluntary, extended return window of 30 days from delivery. This is a contractual goodwill policy we offer because we believe in our products and want you to shop without worry. It is not a statutory right and does not replace or limit the 14-day legal cancellation right described above.
To use our extended return window, please contact us within 30 days of receiving your order. Items should be returned unused, in their original condition and packaging where possible. Full terms and the returns procedure are set out in our Returns & Refunds Policy.
